Saba Pouyeshman is an Iranian artist currently based in Oslo, Norway. She came to Norway in 2024 as an artist in residency with Safemuse. She holds a Bachelor in Script Writing from the Tehran University of Art and has studied acting at the Leev Theatre School in Tehran. With a strong foundation in the performing arts, her practice has gradually evolved toward the visual realm, particularly drawing and painting. Today her artistic practice merges both acting and visual arts. Her work is inspired by the darker realms of Persian mythology, occult traditions, superstition,as well as folk traditions and rituals.
